Hello folks! Maryam here! It's been two years since we last spoke, or well, that I posted something and the world has read it. A lot has happened since then! Let me catch you up to speed! :) Let's start off where I left off, which would be January 2016. Hm. What was I doing then? I can vaguely even remember myself.
I was working for a Podiatrist starting in the summer. I had started seeing a guy named Jeffrey, aka Jact0r from Xbox. My gamertag was/is Queen M4ry. We met online over a game called Halo and bonded over Destiny. We took that relationship to the next level. He visited me (he's from Missouri) and I visited him. He met my parents (and family) and they really liked him. So then, *drumroll* we got married in April 2017!
We had the Nikah (in the Quran is used exclusively to refer to the contract of marriage) in April and the reception in July. Why not all at once? Well I'm old fashioned in the sense that I don't believe in living together before marriage. Jeff wanted to know what it was like living together, so we tied the knot and I moved to Missouri! We could have always got it annulled if it didn't work out but luckily it did! We (I say we but really it was all my Mom) couldn't plan the wedding quick enough so we had a slight gap of three months in between which felt like forever, I've never been more homesick in all my life. o_o

It was a beautiful spring day! Is the month of April still considered spring or is it summer? Ah well. The grass was green, the trees were green, birds were chirping there was a wonderful breeze. It was a perfect day!

My mom ordered a cake from Whole Foods with some delicious cupcakes in my favorite color, Lavender! I can't quite remember what the flavor was, vanilla probably, but I do remember they tasted delicious!
