Hashbrown Casserole

[Old Post - I had an obsession with changing all my pictures to ones with white fog,
oh how ugly did my pictures look, oh well. I've come a long way since then].

The above is what a Hashbrown Casserole should look like.
INGREDIENTS:
1 (32oz) bag frozen shredded Hash Browns
1 1/2 cups plain Greek Yogurt
1/2 cup Milk (at least 2%)
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Season All Salt
1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1 cup Shredded Cheese (of your choice...but be sure it is NOT low-fat)
Salt and Pepper to taste
I went happily to the grocery store shopping for ingredients. I wanted to get the exact ones in the recipe.
No improvising or skimping out on things that I didn't have. I wanted to do it the right way.

Paid $5 for this which was a pain to find.
I must have wandered in circles for a good while too.

Step 1: Mix Everything Together
Step 2: Put into a bowl (looks good so far!)
Step 3: FAILURE.

It looked burned. Cause it was. :(

Hashbrown Burger

[Old Post - I had an obsession with changing all my pictures to ones with white fog,
oh how ugly did my pictures look, oh well. I've come a long way since then].

So yesterday I came across this yummy recipe on Pinterest, the Hashbrown Burger.
It looks so scrumptious my mouth is watering just staring at it now, lol.

I usually try to look for simple things to make since I tend to mess up a lot. The directions seemed easy enough.
(Although knowing me, I tend to mess up whether it's easy or hard. There's always one thing going wrong or another).

Step 1: Grill the Beef
Step 2: Fry the Hashbrowns
Step 3: Melt the Cheese on the Hashbrowns
Step 4: Put it all together and your done! Woohoo!

Step 1: COMPLETE!!

Step 2 & 3: COMPLETE!!

Step 3: NAILED IT!!
I'm very happy that finally for once my creation turned out great!
It looked normal enough and my test subjects said it was good!
Test subjects meaning my brother and sister. Haha. :)

Pintershit

Definition of Pintershit:
Attempts made at cultivating desserts found on Pinterest
but the end result being far from what was originally planned.
So I was on Pinterest the other day, as I always am because it's that cool.
And I kept noticing these great recipes for homemade truffles.
Then, a friend of mine told me about Oreo truffles that she made.
She told me how easy it was and that it just took a little time.
I was like OH! Easy?? OKAY! Let me try!!!! *big smiley face*
So I rushed over to Target after work and picked up ingredients.

Four Things? Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
Step 1: Crush the Oreos
Step 2: Mix in the Cream Cheese

The texture was perfect!! Woohoo!
I know it doesn't LOOK that great here..
But I had forgotten to take a whole picture of the batter.
It was already rolled up in little balls and popped into the freezer.

Melted Vanilla!
I *thought* I had a good consistency with this..
But alas, it was not the case.
I screwed up major.

Attempts.
All I had to do was dip the balls in vanilla chocolate.
The first time I did it the vanilla was too hot and the oreo ball broke apart.
The second time is the picture on the far right, the vanilla had melted right off.
The third time was the one in the middle, it was sort of good I guess.
My fourth attempt was the clumpy one in the corner left.
NOT EASY. I FAIL. :(

Gym Workout Gone Bad

It seems like Rage Comics are the new day 'n age craze.
Funny stick figures with hilariously drawn faces.
Depicting something.. well.. FUNNY!

I've started to make Rage Comics for funny occurences that happen in MY life.
Most of the comics I have are embarassing. But hey, that's just me.

At the gym..
Now let me just say..
I'm sure I ate something horrible earlier.
So it's really not my fault what happens.. Enjoy!

Frozen Strawberries

I love the taste of strawberries.

That sweet tender taste, that first bite into a juicy delicious berry.
Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

Ive been craving the taste of frozen strawberries lately.
But I didnt want to just freeze a bunch of berries and chow on them later.

I came across this great recipe on Pinterest.
It's easy enough for me to make, easy enough for anyone.
Even a child could make this. You cant mess up.. Or maybe you can.

Dip strawberries in yogurt, freeze for 2 hours and cut them in half.
Now here is what I cultivated after about an hour of working in the kitchen.

I was so excited making them I didnt pay attention to the super simple directions.

First you had to dip the strawberry in yogurt
THEN freeze THEN cut in half.

Whereas I first cut the strawberry in half
THEN dipped it in yogurt.
o_o

There are no words.
